I am a Senior at Wayne State University where I am an English Major. I have focused on studying grammar and in TEFL(Teaching English as a Foreign Language) with the distinct goal of helping anyone who wishes to develop strong English skills. In my Senior Year I specializing further in TEFL, having accumulated eighty hours thus far in distinct English teaching skills.
Experience
English was actually my second language, though only by a year. I am a First Generation American, born and raised in Michigan and have always lived in a family where we spoke Albanian among family and English everywhere else. As a result, I have known many family members who still struggle to communicate with English and throughout the years, have been able to help them clean their English up so they can have more opportunities in life. I am currently employed as a subcontracted English Teacher online where I teach use my native skills at English to help Chinese children learn English, through use of songs and games. I am comfortable teaching children and adults and have experience in both. It's never too late to learn a new language and starting early doesn't hurt either!

Hobbies
I am an artistic soul. My main interests mostly include that of novels, music and films. I think the art of a language is a great window into how the language is truly spoken. Indeed, the final test in achieving fluency of any type is often being able to read the novels and watch the films of a given culture. As a result, I like to use an integrated approach in my tutoring that combines technical knowledge found in school books with culture based material that allows my students to see the organic ways the language is spoken as well.
